In 2015 the first annual survey about organizational use of the dimensions of data quality was conducted and research was published (http://dqm.mx/edw16cddq15doc) with new insight:
  • A large proportion (87%) of the respondents are interested in using an Industry Standard at their organizations (55% are very interested and 32% are somewhat interested)
  • 35% of respondents’ organizations classify data related defects using the dimensions of DQ on an ongoing basis
  • 23% of organizations have one formally defined and governed set of dimensions used for categorizing DQ issues

During this session the results of the second annual survey will be presented. Going around the circle attendees will have the opportunity to share their organization’s successes and challenges using the dimensions and weigh in on whether an industry standard is needed at this time. Observers are also welcome so come, contribute and find out about the value of the dimensions to organizations like yours.
